Description Haptens are small molecules that are usually nonimmunogenic unless coupled to some carrier proteins. The generation of anti-hapten antibodies is important for the development of immunodiagnostics and therapeutics. Recently, our group has developed a database called HaptenDB, which provides comprehensive information about 1,087 haptens. In this chapter, we describe following web tools integrated in HaptenDB: (i) keyword search facility allows search on major fields, (ii) browsing service, to display all haptens, carrier proteins and antibodies, and (iii) structure similarity search, which allows the users to search their structure against hapten structures.
