<span style="font-size:11.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size: 10.0pt;font-family:" times="" new="" roman","serif";mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";="" mso-ansi-language:en-gb;mso-fareast-language:en-us;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa"="" lang="EN-GB">Present strudy consists a quantitative inventory of macroparasites in some intertidal gastropods from a rocky shore on Qeshm Island in the Persian Gulf, Iran. It is examined 456 individual gastropods comprising 11 species, Among the above <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Thais savignyi</i> and <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Cronia cf konkanensis</i> were infected by parasites. <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Thais savignyi</i> was infected by trematodes (12.72%), nematodes (0.21%), nematomorphs (0.21%) and copepods (0.43%)<span style="mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">. <i style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">Cronia cf konkanensis</i> was infected by trematodes <span style="mso-bidi-font-weight:bold">solely (1.75%). Prevalence of infection in <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Thais savignyi</i> and <i style="mso-bidi-font-style:normal">Cronia cf konkonensis</i> was 13.56% and <span style="font-size:11.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;font-family:" times="" new="" roman","serif";="" mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";mso-ansi-language:en-gb;mso-fareast-language:="" en-us;mso-bidi-language:fa"="" lang="EN-GB">1.75<span dir="RTL" style="font-size:10.0pt;mso-ansi-font-size:11.0pt;font-family:" times="" new="" roman","serif";="" mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";mso-ansi-language:en-gb;mso-fareast-language:="" en-us;mso-bidi-language:fa"="" lang="EN-GB"> <span style="font-size:11.0pt;mso-bidi-font-size:10.0pt;font-family:" times="" new="" roman","serif";="" mso-fareast-font-family:"times="" roman";mso-ansi-language:en-gb;mso-fareast-language:="" en-us;mso-bidi-language:ar-sa"="" lang="EN-GB">%, respectively.</span></span></span></span></span></span> |
