Description |
This paper briefly reviews the work carried out in the area of buckling strength of cooling towers subjected to wind load, etc. Results obtained y employing the 9-noded lagrangian plate/shell elements for buckling analysis of hyperboloidal shells is presented in the paper. The efficacy of the 9-noded Lagragian element for computing the buckling strength of hyperboloidal shells is discussed in the paper.
